Celebrity Jewelry Style: Gwen Stefani

Part rock 'n roll, part retro Hollywood, Gwen Stefani knows her style and sticks to it. With her signature platinum locks and ever-present red lip, Gwen walks the line between edgy and classic, seamlessly blending the two into a look uniquely her own.

As for accessories, the hip momma-of-three favors stacks of chunky bracelets, retro sunglasses, and funky hats.

Squared Circle

I love the subtle details that makes a piece of jewelry special and unique. The slightly squared shape of these rings by LA Kasier make them stand out from a sea of other brass stacking rings. Complete with grey marcasite cabochons these rings are subtle yet stunning. They would look great spread out across a sea of fingers or stacked even higher on one finger. Perhaps I'll be buying more!

Line Lust: Jennie Kwon Designs Fall/Winter 2014

I fell head over heals in love with Jennie Kwon Designs last year when she made her debut. Known for her dainty stacking rings, delicate bracelets, and petite necklaces, Jennie's new collection offers a fresh take on the original. Her rings have become a bit bolder, she's working with more stones, and she's introduced edgy ear cuffs and chokers into the collection.

Favorites of mine include the chunkier cuff ring (original here), the grey diamond slice ring, the stacked cuff ring,  and the white diamond peal cuff.

You can find all of her designs - old and new - here.

Currently Loving: April 2014

Spring is here! It's time to brighten up your soles, redecorate your favourite room, and lighten up on the jewelry. Here are my favourites to help you with a fresh start this month.

1. We're finishing our basement which means lots of fun furniture and decor shopping. Currently have my eye on this this geomtric pillow cover and this moody cactus print from the Aestate (#8).

2. Affordable stacking rings. These brass beauties from LA Kaiser and comfortable and dainty. I am loving the squared corners for something new and different.

3. Feed Your Ends: This leave in conditioner leaves my hair so soft and detangled and yet light and bouncy. It contains essential oils (and vitamins and minerals) but doesn't seem to weigh hair down. For my dry, unruly hair, it's truly a miracle worker.

4. Frame Denim: These dark ripped jeans may seem like an odd choice for spring, but I think black always works. Pair with a white tee or a bright sleeveless blouse for a decidedly cool look.

5. Bright flats. Yes, flats! Can we wear flats now? Snow, are you going to finish melting soon? Loving these ones from Belle by Sigerson Morrison.  I snagged mine on Gilt but you can also find on Shopbop.

6. The perfect baby shower gift? Handmade, natural, and oh so cute.

7. See description #1 :)

8. I am a sucker for unique jewelry storage. I am always looking for clever and visually appealing ways to store my trinkets and this brass elephant box from Jonathan Adler cover both bases.

Do or Don't? Engagement Rings for Men

Since becoming engaged to Amber Heard in January, Johnny Depp has been seen wearing her engagement ring a handful of times. Is this sentiment super sweet or way too weird? How do you feel about engagement rings for men? Furthermore, how do you feel about men wearing women's rings? I have a feeling this is something only Johnny Depp would and could pull off. But tell me what you think in the comments below! Time to get that ring sized, Amber! ;)
