MET Gala 2013 Jewelry Round-Up

The 2013 Metropolitan Museum's annual Costume Institute Gala - commonly known as the MET Gala - did not disappoint. The stars brought the glamour in their best fashion-forward attire and accessories all while feting the museum's "Punk: Chaos to Couture" theme.

Most chose to pay homage to the punk rock theme with edgy gowns, safety pins, studded jackets, over the top ear cuffs, and ornate headpieces. I've rounded up the most noteworthy jewelry and accessories from the night. Did you have a favorite look?

Jewelry Round-Up: Best of the 2012 Emmys

Last night the Emmys were live and I was glued to my TV (with wine and Indian food) taking in all of the celebrity fashion and jewelry trends. There was a ton of color this year at the Emmys (think jewel tones like red, yellow, green and blue dresses) and the jewelry was equally dramatic.

The first and biggest trend of the night: statement earrings. The ladies rocked spectacular, bold, and glitzy earrings. Half of the lustworthy pairs were large studs reminiscent of the 80s (Sarah Hyland, Emily VanCamp, and Ginnifer Goodwin) and the other half were glamorous dangling earrings (Heidi Klum, Guiliana Rancic, and Juilianna Margulies).

The other Emmy jewelry trend on the red carpet was colorful, bold rings. I was so happy with all of the fun rings. We all know I love I good cocktail ring and last night had me swooning. And one of my favorite pieces of the night? Emily VanCamp's glitzy bow bracelet. Love. Noticeably absent? Necklaces.

Oscar 2012: Best Jewelry

Blogs are a buzz this morning with choices for best dressed, worst dressed, and thoughts Angelina Jolie's strange leg pose.  For me, Michelle Williams, Emma Stone, and Gwyneth Paltrow take the cake for best dressed.  I wanted to put together a little montage of the jewelry worn at the Oscars last night. I thought I was going to be knee deep in choices but as it turns out, most stars wore little jewelry, preferring to let let the dress do all the talking.  I did manage to find a few blinged out ladies, but even those who made it into this post kept things simple. Most opted for a bare neck and chose subtle earrings.  Here are my choices for Best Jewelry, Oscars 2012.
