Like a Mermaid

I may have a slight obsession with mermaids. When I was a little girl I would go to sleep with my legs in mermaid fin position and pray that I would wake up transformed, into a real mermaid. I still sing "Part of Your World" and swim around like The Little Mermaid in the lake at our cottage. I've come to accept that I will never be half woman, half fish, and that this is probably for the best...but I am still drawn to all things mermaid, scaly, and iridescent. Jewelry Throw Back: Crowns

They're the things fairy tales are made of and everyone in Game of Thrones wants - crowns. I came across an image on Pinterest of a mermaid in crown and it stirred so many emotions in me. It was whimsical, strange, and curious. I immediately dreamt up the tale that this mermaid could tell if she weren't just an image. And the crown on her head was central to her story. I know we don't walk around wearing crowns (unless they're floral, hello!), but aren't they a cool piece of jewelry to consider?
