Celebrity Jewelry Style: Pregnancy Edition!

To say I've got baby on the brain would be an understatement. She doesn't let me forget about her for too long, even if I tried. With her rolly-polly moves and cute little kicks, my little buddy is definitely making her presence known. Not to mention my ever-expanding waist-line that shocks me every morning when I catch my reflection in the mirror. My mission this weekend is to find a decent pair of maternity skinny jeans. I can't go on without them.

But what about jewelry style? Does this change or need to change as your belly grows? Well obviously it doesn't have to! But I love wearing longer necklaces with pendants to accentuate my bump. This would be my biggest shift in accessorizing since the appearance of the bump. I also think going necklace free and wearing dangly earrings or hoops is a super cool maternity look. And you can keep those arm parties coming. Baby probably likes the sound of those clinging and clanging bracelets and isn't around to pull on them - yet.

Here is a photo of a necklace I made to fill my need for longer pendants. It's a purple amethyst druzy hung on gold plated chain. I added two strands of smaller gold chain as an interesting detail. Also, as a side note, this is my first Instagram pic! Follow me here!

Best Of: Jewelry from the Golden Globes 2013

The Golden Globes were last night and there was no shortage of colour, sparkle, and glam on the red carpet.  Red was the popular gown colour of choice, there was loads of lace, and earrings were front and centre.

In the jewelry category my favorites were: Megan Fox's long pink earrings, Kate Hudson's melange of Jennifer Meyer rings, and Jessica Alba's sparkly Harry Winston necklace.  And I would be remiss if I didn't mention Sienna Miller rocking the one earring trend! Actually, she had three earrings on one ear, but her other ear was completely bare. This trend is crossing over to the red carpet folks!

Celebrity Jewelry Style: Kate Hudson

With her enviable blonde wavy hair, comfortable, free-flowing style, and megawatt smile, Kate Hudson is undoubtedly one of my style icons.  Kate has a knack for accessorizing. She often sports a fun, large statement ring, long bohemian necklaces, or flirty earrings.  Speaking to  Harper's BAZAAR Kate playfully highlighted her love of jewelry. "My bauble," she says, fishing it out of her roomy bag to spruce up her current ensemble of an Under Armour vest and Adidas sweatpants and running shoes. "There," she says, grinning. "Now I feel better." Don't we all feel a little better with that special piece of jewelry that somehow makes us feel unique and put together? Kate seems to have nailed the art of accessorizing and her special pieces of jewelry often become the focal point of her outfits. See below for Kate-spiration!
