Get the Look: Mixed Metal Momma

pc

One thing we know? Mixing metals is totally on trend for fall. Gone are the days of sticking to all gold or all silver or white gold with your jewelry. Something else that is on trend for fall? Mixing textures and weights. Pair your dainty bracelets with chunky rings and your thin bracelets with heavier bangles for a look that totally 'du jour.'

Do or Don't? Mismatched Wedding Band

Keira Knightly recently showed off her newly minted wedding band and it certainly was a surprise! While her engagement ring is set in platinum she chose a plain yellow gold wedding band. Mixing metals is common place today, but it's rare to see a wedding band set in different tones. Perhaps she'll start the newest wedding ring trend?
Would you do this for your everyday look? Or is it totally a don't for wedding and engagement rings?

Deal of the Month

This deal was too good NOT to share! Especially since so many of you loved the mixed metals post from a few days ago. Now you can have your very own mixed metals piece at a fraction of the price! I ordered mine as soon as the email arrived...so it's now safe to spread the news knowing that I've secured mind. I kid, kid, I'd share with my dear readers any day.  Enough babble, onto the deal!

Can you believe it?! This necklace was originally $398 USD and is on sale for $59 USD. Gasp. I thought there was a typo when I received the email.  It's on special for Mother's Day (insert collective "awwww"), and what a Mother's Day gift it would be! I can't think of a single Mom who wouldn't want to be given this beautiful necklace on her special day.

The Liz necklace by Gemma Redux is made up of Rough Cut Rock Crystal, Steel, 18K Gold, Brass And Steel Plate Chain.

Ps - I won't tell if you decide to keep it for yourself ;) xxjj

Mixed Metals Vs. Pure Metal

*All necklaces Gemma Redux*

It's time for another This or That post! Where do you stand on mixing metals? It used to be a major faux pas to wear gold and silver at the same time and now, not only is it acceptable, it's encouraged and stylish! Do you tend to mix things up or keep your jewelry strickly silved toned or gold toned at one time?

Still not convinced about mixing metals? Take a look at how these ladies have mastered the trend.
