Summer Favorites

Here's a round-up of my summer favorites! I can hardly believe it's almost September and the summer is nearly over (hashtag "things white girls say"). I thought before we get too deep into Fall fashion I'd do a round-up of the products I've been loving over the summer months. Here are my faves in fashion, beauty, and around the home.

Fashion:
1. This American Eagle jean jacket is a great layering piece for throwing on during those cool August nights (or not so hot days).
2. Dolce Vita black sandals with gold bar - I wore these non-stop this summer. The gold detail is perfect sparkly little detail.
3. Jennie Kwon Onyx ring - I've posted about this ring so much I should be blue in the face. But it's my favorite so it deserves to be mentioned again!
4. Ariel Gordon Lariat necklace - This is at the top of my wishlist right now.

Beauty:
5. BUMBLE AND BUMBLE Hairdresser's Invisible Oil - This stuff tames even the most dry and frazzeled summer hair. It is my holy grail product du jour.
6. Nars The Muliple in Copacabana - This gives me a subtle summer glow, without going over the top. It highlights like a champ.
7. Maybelline Color Whisper in Oh La Lilac - The perfect sheer pop color for summer.
8. Try Nars Nepal eyeshadow for that "Blake Lively" beachy look.

Home:
9. Good Morning Beautiful Mug. What a way to start the day!
10. Gold heart - This gold heart is on my wishlist for baby girl's nursery. I think her doctor Daddy would approve.
11. Cuisinart Smart Stick Hand Blender. I have used this hand blender nearly every morning this summer to make a breakfast smoothie.
My current fave: 1 cup of milk, 1 heaped tbsp on peanutbutter, 1 banana, and 1 package of Starbucks instant via coffee.
12. Orange is the New Black - PTL for Netflix because summer TV is non-existent.

Must Have Jewelry for Fall

I don't know about you, but Fall is my favourite season for fashion. I love the reintroduction of rich colours, snuggly knits, and leather boots. I also love switching up my jewelry, retiring my friendship bracelets and neon necklaces for more metallic and refined pieces. Here are my top jewelry must-haves for  Fall 2013.

What are you looking most forward to wearing this Fall?

chain earrings (catbird)
evil eye jewelry (Jennifer Zeuner)
lariat necklaces (Ariel Gordon)
black stones (Jennie Kwon)
dainty necklaces (Vale Jewelry)

Line Lust: Mirlo

I recently discovered Mirlo - a classic jewelry line that manages to create timeless, everyday pieces while being thoroughly modern and on trend. I've recently written trend spotting posts on ID bracelets, lariat necklaces, and knuckle rings and Mirlo has them all.

Cast in bronze and plated in 14K gold, Mirlo is handcrafted in New York. My favorites below. Enjoy!

Nikki B. Bracelet Giveaway!

I am so excited to share this fabulous giveaway with Jolie Jouel readers! When Favery contacted me about working together to give my readers an exclusive chance at winning some jewelry, I jumped at the chance.  Favery is an online jewelry community offering their jewelry-loving members limited collections of designer pieces at discounted prices. Unique jewelry at great prices?  This is exactly the kind of thing I am always on the lookout for to share with you guys!

You have a chance to win two dainty, beaded, Nikki B. bracelets like the ones I am wearing below. These bracelets are the perfect layering pieces for summer. The best part? They're so easy to put on. I often find that beaded bracelets are often tricky to put on by yourself, never tightening easily or evenly. These bracelets glide on with ease and the satiny cord slides easily and stays in place.

Follow this one easy step to enter for your chance to win two Nikki B. beaded bracelets:
1.  Check out favery.com and sign up to be a member of Favery's stylish jewelry community.

Favery will randomly select a winner, to be announced here next Monday, from the new members who sign up by clicking through the link provided above
Contest closes Friday August 9th at 6pm EST. Good luck!
*Contest open to American and Canadian readers*

Today, the nikki-b collection is handmade in Chile, where designer Nikki Butler has lived for the past 7 years.  Rural women hand craft each piece and are given fair pay and inspiring work. Over the years, Nikki has lived in Paris, Spain, New York and Chile, each place giving her unique inspiration for her collection.
